League of Women Voters Linn County Programs & Issues
Linn County legislators answered questions from voters in the final LWV Linn County Legislative Forum April 20.
The 2013 LWV Linn County Iowa Legislative Forums are on the third Saturday of the month from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. in the Cedar Rapids Mercy Medical Center Hallagan Educational Center.
The free public forms are a venue for state representatives and senators and senators to discuss issues of concern and to answer questions from constituents.

Interest High in the Condition of Local Government
Community interest in the condition of Linn County cities and their governments is high as measured by attendance to the League's annual "State of the" presentations and luncheons held this spring.
Close out reports for the Cedar Rapids and Marion events document large turnouts. Seating was cozy at the Marion State of the City with attendance at 235 and the Cedar Rapids State of the City was maxed out at 600.
The final tally isn't in for the April Sate of Linn County gathering but estimates are that the event will show an attendance of 170.
